Insufficient mixing can cause severe artifacts in the TRIC traces and strange well scans in Spectral Shift. 

To prevent artifacts:

• Always mix thoroughly in each well. 

• Use 15 mixing cycles with >50% of the total volume. 

• Alternatively, use the plate shaker, Bioshake5000 elm from Q Instruments, which is recommended by NanoTemper, and shake at 2000 rpm for at least 1 minute. This works well with most samples and can save you a lot of work and time when preparing many wells.
