Making a home for your Dianthus instrument
Before installing your instrument, ensure that the environment meets the following conditions to guarantee optimal performance and long-term stability.
Environmental Conditions
- Temperature: Maintain a room temperature between 20 °C and 30 °C.
- Humidity: Keep relative humidity between 5% and 70%, non-condensing.
- Airflow: Avoid placing the instrument in locations exposed to direct sunlight or air streams from heating/cooling units.
Table Requirements
- The table must support a minimum of 70 kg.
- A free surface area of at least 66 cm (width) × 62 cm (depth) is required.
- The table should be stable and vibration-resistant to avoid instrument movement during operation.
Power Access and Clearance
- Ensure the power plug is easily accessible for plugging in and unplugging the instrument.
- The power switch (located on the lower left of the instrument’s back panel) must be within easy reach.
- Keep the system door and tray area clear of obstructions to allow for smooth opening and closing.
Additional Placement Considerations
- Do not place the instrument near strong magnetic fields or high-frequency sources.
- Avoid exposure to vibrations from equipment such as vacuum pumps, centrifuges, or electric motors.
- Keep the instrument away from dust and corrosive gases.
- Do not place any items or liquids on or near the top of the instrument.
