Spectral Shift
Spectral Shift is one of the technologies that drives Dianthus. It is a highly sensitive method used to characterize a broad range of biomolecular interactions by isothermal spectral shift analysis.
It uses a dedicated dual-emission optical system that allows, instead of measuring the full emission spectrum, simultaneously recording the fluorescence at only two preselected wavelengths with photon-multiplier-tubes, which greatly enhances sensitivity. Furthermore, the method does not require site-specific labeling or conformational changes of the target molecule upon binding and only uses a few microliters of sample at low nanomolar concentration per data point.
The results of Spectral Shift are expressed as a ratio.
