Hit

Hit is a Ligand Category. In Single-Dose Screening a Ligand that is identified to cause a response that is significantly different from the Reference Sample and, at the same time, does not cause a negative result in Quality Checks is considered a hit, a likely binder to the target. Usually, hits are investigated further in an Affinity Screening. Interactors in affinity screens are called Binder. The hit threshold in DI.Screening Analysis depends on the reproducibility of the reference samples.
