On-time
The term on-time describes two closely related but different aspects of a TRIC measurement. Laser on-time, on the one hand, signifies the period during which the infrared (IR) laser is active and generates a local temperature change in the sample (in DI.Control, one can set this on-time to be either 3 or 5 sec). On the other hand, the TRIC on-time signifies the specific timepoint at which binding analysis is performed for affinity data. As an example, in a typical measurement, the IR-laser is active for 5 sec on time, but afterwards, data analysis can be performed with the F1 cursor set to 3 sec TRIC on time for calculation of Fnorm data. In DI.Screening Analysis the Response Evaluation Mode determines the on-time selected for analysis.
